Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

At CoreTech Academy we take your privacy, and your child's, seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

Who we are

CoreTech Academy runs live online coding lessons for children over Zoom. For any privacy question or request, email info@thecoretechacademy.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect your child's information from you, the parent or carer, and we keep it to the minimum we need.

This website

Our own pages don't set cookies and don't use advertising trackers. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

When you click a booking button, Calendly's booking page opens inside our website. Calendly may use its own cookies to make booking work. Please see Calendly's privacy policy.

How we use your data

We use your data because it's needed to provide the service you asked for, or because we have a legitimate interest in running our lessons well. We never sell or rent your data, and we never use it for third-party marketing.

Who we share it with

Only the services we use to run our lessons: Calendly (bookings), Zoom (lessons), Google (email, and storing the messages you send through our website), Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding) and our payment provider. Each is bound by its own data protection obligations.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Just email info@thecoretechacademy.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
